Created by Dani Beauchamp from memories of, and conversations with, family, friends, lovers, and god, Jetta is an introspective purging on the brooding question, “what does this life mean?” Layering live movement with live text, the piece is an autobiographical rant, confronting the audience with highly sobering yet provocatively witty dialogue. In addition to live movement, Jetta incorporates a film by Ana Baer-Carrillo and musical composition by Mike Rugnetta with vocals from Dani Beauchamp and Randy Gibson.
Jetta received its avant-premiere in Morelia, Mexico October 27, 2006 during the 2006 masterclass at the Universidad Michoacana.
